GPS Monitoring and Fleet Management
AggreGate Fleet Manager is a vehicle monitoring and control system for managing a fleet of cars, trucks, vessels, forklifts, or other vehicles. It provides an outstanding coverage for tracking the asset and vehicle location via GNSS, indoor beacon-based positioning, as well as RFID and similar tagging. It also enables the centralized collection, storage, processing, and visualization of diverse telemetry data.
Vehicle Telemetry and Remote Control
Each vehicle in a fleet is normally outfitted with a tracker or controller collecting a variety of data on a driver’s behavior. The data flowing into the platform also includes such parameters as driving speed, maximum acceleration and shocks experienced by the vehicle, driving patterns, such as the amount of time spent driving vs. the amount of time spent idling. The system also works as an access controller for the vehicle – the drivers use their access codes or RFID cards to “log on” to a vehicle.
A driver’s access to a vehicle can also be subject to certain time limitations, such as “only within a predefined shift”, “only within standard working time”, etc. Moreover, all vehicle log-ins and log-outs are recorded. In combination with the vehicle driving pattern records, this creates an extensive audit trail. The system can also perform a number of additional functions, such as monitoring the fuel and oil levels, battery charge, etc. In critical situations, a vehicle can be remotely immobilized by a control center operator.
Indoor Tracking and Delayed Operations
A wireless connection to each vehicle is typically unstable. Even on a site which has blanket wireless coverage, there are always some wireless “blind spots” where the connection is unstable or unavailable. In the indoor tracking (e.g., Wi-Fi or ZigBee-based), vehicles are not even confined to a particular site and only return to the base occasionally. The M2M devices working via cellular and satellite links don't maintain any constant server connections either. This dramatically narrows an opportunity for configuring or upgrading several devices at once.
AggreGate is built from the ground up to avoid this limitation. Data is synchronized between the devices and the server whenever a connection is available. You can always change the settings for a given vehicle, and as soon as that vehicle comes into range, the new settings are automatically uploaded onto it.
You can also browse the list of vehicle events (log-ins, log-outs, alerts, etc.) whenever you want, not just when the vehicle is in range and connected. In case of disconnection, you will see the most recent data available ("device snapshot"), and as soon as the vehicle comes into range (or synchronizes again via GPRS or another long-range medium), you’ll see the new data.
Group Operations
With AggreGate, you can manage several vehicles as one group, even despite each vehicle is equipped with a different model/version of a vehicle controller. You can make a single, sweeping change for a setting (like a speed threshold, for example) which will take effect on all such vehicles once they get connected.

AggreGate Fleet Manager Features
Vendor-neutral GPS/GLONASS tracker connectivity via a powerful generic device driver adaptable to any tracker model via the port assignments, rule-based command parsing and expression-based extraction of valuable information (position, CAN bus data, etc.) | Controlling and monitoring the vehicle settings, like the list of permitted drivers/operators, maintenance schedule (date of last/next maintenance and any grace period), speed thresholds (speed limit, speeding alarms, etc.), temperature/oil thresholds, shock thresholds, fuel/battery thresholds, and more |
Out-of-the-box support for numerous tracker vendors/models | Tracking the employee and driver information, licensing, certification, etc. |
Outstanding support for geofencing, including the geofence violation alerting, route traverse control, and more | Monitoring the current vehicle conditions: location (via GPS/GLONASS), speed, fuel/battery level, current mileage, oil level, and more |
Totally flexible multi-layer fleet maps with any underlying GIS layer type, including Google Maps, Bing Maps, OpenStreetMaps, and more | Monitoring real-time and historical events/alerts, such as speed limit exceeded, fuel/battery/oil level low, maintenance overdue, checkup failed/timed out, shock limit exceeded, and more |
Tracking and mapping an unlimited number of vehicles in a large area from several geographically distributed control centers | Tracking the general fleet information (vehicle number, license number, etc.) and vehicle-specific information (e.g., oil type) |
Performing vehicle operations: remote engine shutdown, send message to a driver/operator, etc. | Permitting an operator to manage a specific set of vehicles, regardless of their location |
Enabling the preventive maintenance and tracking the repairs performed on your fleet | Alerting operators when the maintenance is due |
Viewing, searching, sorting, and filtering the vehicle event/alert history | Creating and viewing the reports (vehicle usage, checklists, accidents, alerts, etc.) |
Managing the automatic maintenance notifications | Setting up the real-time data exchange with a stock management system |
Integrating AggreGate Fleet Manager
The Fleet Manager integrates with other enterprise systems to allow:
Managing the fuel consumption history and statistics |
Analyzing the costs of preventive maintenance, repairs, parts, and labor |
Calculating the sales tax |
Monitoring the accidents |
Tracking and monitoring the fluid usage (i.e. motor oil, transmission fluid, etc.) |
Recording the general expenses, such as registration renewals, insurance payments, lease payments, etc. |
Tracking and monitoring the equipment usage |
Analyzing your fleet costs |
Tracking the tire inventory, assignment and usage |
Managing, tracking and monitoring the work orders |
Calculating the detailed labor charges by rate and time |
Deploying AggreGate doesn’t necessarily mean you have to stop using your current system. AggreGate supports open protocols for exchanging data and executing operations. Thus, you can use the built-in AggreGate Client as an end-user software or a middleware together with your existing enterprise-grade fleet management system serving as a front end.
Build Your Product or Service
