New Version of AggreGate SCADA/HMI: Direct Integration with Siemens, Digital Twins, and a Next-Generation Alarm Management System
AggreGate has released a new version of its dispatching and visualization system — AggreGate SCADA/HMI 6.4. The release is built on the AggreGate 6.4 platform and combines new design tools, a digital twin creation wizard, a redesigned alarm system, and a completely updated HMI symbol editor designed for industrial-scale projects.
In version 6.4, the team focused on three key tasks: reducing SCADA/HMI project implementation time, improving the performance of large HMI symbol diagrams and video walls, and simplifying integration with industrial equipment and external systems.
The direct Siemens S7 driver allows connection to Siemens SIMATIC controllers without intermediate OPC servers. This reduces the number of failure points, simplifies architecture, and decreases data transfer latency. The OPC UA server enables integration of SCADA/HMI with MES, ERP, BI, and other corporate systems without creating separate gateways.
The new HMI symbol editor is designed for creating very large diagrams — power systems, main pipelines, and dispatch video walls. A template binding mechanism has been introduced: an engineer can bind a symbol to a digital twin once and clone it without reconfiguration. The new visualization engine is optimized for video walls where thousands of dynamic objects are displayed simultaneously.
The digital twin architecture with the new "tag" entity allows describing assets, forming equipment hierarchies, and automatically generating object models. The digital twin creation wizard eliminates the manual creation of thousands of connections. The new tag dashboard centralizes signal management.
The alarm management system features a new dashboard with sorting, filtering, acknowledgment, and history analysis capabilities. The alarm creation wizard helps quickly configure threshold and analytical alarms, as well as automatic response scenarios.
The analytics console allows building charts, analyzing trends, and comparing parameters. A media asset dashboard has been added for managing the symbol library, alarm sounds, and instructions. The built-in symbol library covers energy, oil and gas, water supply, industrial production, HVAC, and transportation.
New demonstration projects ("Bottling Line," "Water Treatment Station," "Pasteurized Milk Storage," "Main Gas Pipeline," "Intelligent Power System") help quickly evaluate the platform's capabilities.
Ilya Chernyakovich, Executive Director and CTO of AggreGate:
"AggreGate SCADA/HMI 6.4 is a major development of the platform towards high-load industrial systems. The direct Siemens S7 driver, scalable video wall HMI symbols, digital twin architecture, and modern alarm mechanisms — all of this allows customers not just to replace imports, but to obtain a modern, productive tool for the most complex tasks."
