AggreGate MES: New Low-Code Solution for Production Management
AggreGate has released a new version of its manufacturing execution system — AggreGate MES. The product is built on the low-code AggreGate platform and is designed for production planning, tracking, and equipment efficiency analysis. AggreGate MES serves as a link between strategic production planning (ERP level) and operational control of technological equipment (SCADA/PLC level). The solution is aimed at enterprises seeking to improve transparency, controllability, and efficiency of production processes, especially in industries with high requirements for precision and control.
Flexibility and Scalability: Low-Code Architecture
The product is implemented as a flexible low-code solution, allowing the system to be adapted to the unique requirements of an enterprise without deep development. AggreGate MES consists of a set of specialized modules, each representing a separate low-code application. The modular approach enables phased implementation of functionality, scaling the system as business needs grow.
AggreGate MES includes the following modules:
- MES Core — the system kernel, providing a basic framework for describing the production environment of an enterprise in accordance with the ISA-95 standard. It includes instance models describing key entities: the hierarchy of production facilities, digital twins of operational warehouses and tools, products, recipes, and technological maps. The low-code architecture allows for easy redefinition and extension of entity properties for specific enterprise needs.
- MES P&S (Planning & Scheduling) — a module for automating planning and creating production schedules. The key element is the "Schedule Manager," which, based on commercial orders and technological maps, builds an optimal schedule, minimizing the conditional cost of order execution while considering equipment availability, staff qualifications, and other constraints. Manual, automatic, and step-by-step planning modes are supported.
- MES OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) — a tool for assessing and improving the efficiency of equipment use. It calculates OEE based on three key metrics: Availability, Performance, and Quality. The platform allows collecting statistics by shifts and other time intervals for detailed analysis.
- MES T&T (Track & Trace) — a module for ensuring product and production operation traceability. It logs changes in various MES system entities, allowing the restoration of the state of any object at a specific point in time. It builds a traceability graph in both directions: from a finished product batch to raw materials and vice versa. Critical for the food, pharmaceutical, and other regulated industries.
Key features of the solution:
- Recipe, BOM, and routing management: version control and change approval.
- Planning and scheduling: creating production orders, assigning to lines and shifts, capacity constraint management.
- Quality management: in-process quality control, SPC data collection, defect tracking.
- Production reporting: shift reports, efficiency summaries, export to PDF and Excel.
- HMI and process visualization: drag-and-drop operator screen editor with a built-in symbol library, browser-based operation on any device.
- Operator execution: task lists, electronic work instructions, operation confirmations, barcode and RFID scanning.
- Spreadsheets and data entry: tabular interfaces for manual quality data input, production log recipe parameters.
Unified Architecture and Flexible Deployment
AggreGate MES is built on the unified AggreGate platform, sharing the same architecture, data model, and engineering environment with other products (SCADA/HMI, monitoring, EAM/BI). This eliminates the need for intermediate integration layers. The solution can be deployed in the cloud, on-premise on customer servers, or on edge devices (including ARM systems) running Windows or Linux.
