AggreGate and Arenadata Join Forces for Import Substitution in Big Data Management

AggreGate (LLC "AggreGate Association"), a developer of the low-code IIoT platform AggreGate, and the Arenadata Group (a developer of system software for data management), signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation at the CIPR forum. The partnership is aimed at creating fully Russian ecosystems for real-time data collection, processing, and analysis — from industrial sensors to corporate storage.

The collaboration will enable enterprises and critical information infrastructure (CII) facilities to move away from stacks built on products from departed vendors (including SCADA systems and DBMSs like Apache Cassandra) without losing performance or scalability.

As part of the partnership, the parties plan to develop joint solutions based on the AggreGate platform (device data collection, IoT, industrial automation) and products of the Arenadata Group (big data management, analytics, storage). One of the first examples of such integration is the compatibility of AggreGate with the distributed DBMS Picodata (part of the Arenadata Group) as a high-performance replacement for Apache Cassandra.

Olga Mikallef, Commercial Director at AggreGate:

"The partnership with Arenadata opens up the opportunity for our clients to build fully Russian end-to-end solutions: from a controller at a plant to Big Data analytics. This is especially important for CII facilities, where requirements for reliability and import substitution are critical."

Maxim Vlasyuk, Director of Corporate Sector at the Arenadata Group:

"We see significant demand from industrial enterprises for Russian ecosystems where time-tested SCADA and IoT solutions are combined with modern DBMS and analytics tools. AggreGate is a strong technology partner, and we are pleased to jointly develop such comprehensive offerings for the market."

Practical Significance for the Market:

  • AggreGate's customers gain the ability to use the Russian DBMS Picodata as an alternative to Apache Cassandra without rewriting code.
  • Joint solutions from the parties will be recommended for use at CII facilities and in government projects.
  • The partnership also envisions joint research, publications, and events on import substitution, Big Data, and the Industrial Internet of Things.
