Standalone Web Server
Some AggreGate deployments include hundreds of servers running in edge devices with limited hardware resources, such as single-board PCs, Linux PLCs, touch panels and other devices.
Those devices often do not have sufficient RAM or CPU power to run AggreGate Server's embedded web server, but web-based access to those miniature devices is still crucial.
This problem is solved by deploying a Standalone AggreGate Web Server that will act as a "proxy server", i.e. bridge web-based user connections to other AggreGate servers using AggreGate protocol.
This Standalone AggreGate Web Server is technically a simplified edition of AggreGate Server running a single module, the embedded web server module which is configured for "standalone" usage.
Follow the below steps to install and configure the Standalone AggreGate Web Server:
Download Standalone AggreGate Web Server distribution bundle from the Tibbo Technology Inc. website and install it according to the standard installation procedures.
Start the server and connect to it using web or desktop client
Open the global properties of the Web Server plugin and change Connection Type to:
Any Remote Connections to allow forwarding incoming connections to any external AggreGate Server whose address/port is specified in Standalone AggreGate Web Server's login dialog
Only Preconfigured Connections to allow selecting a specific AggreGate Server in Standalone AggreGate Web Server's login dialog
In the second case, fill Preconfigured Connections table with descriptions, addresses and ports of AggreGate servers to that a connection can be forwarded
Save the settings and restart the server if prompted
